food-trail-weekend!

and finally it began.. this time from the fourth day itself.. well yes, certain perks of calling in a half day when you decide that you've really had enough.. plus, added advantage if you are greeted with good news in the very beginning of the day!

and that's exactly what happened.. and that was clear enough indication for me to know that this time, it will be a good one.

so, come Friday, and an early morning start of the day, only to pick up a favourite person and thus bring in the weekend.. and Friday also being Holi, was the added fun! and the day began with my Man cooking up a deliciously inviting breakfast for everyone in the house!

The day begining like this is bound to be good! Double-Sunny-side-Up!
we followed that up with an equally awesome lunch by mamma.. it was haven!(sorry no photographic evidence of that.. clearly showing how engrossed and busy we were while eating!) and the curtains were brought on by the evening baking adventure, much publicised and broadcasted in the previous post and also a lot of other places!(*me the show-off! shamelessly!*)

and come Saturday.. begining the day on a "sweet" note (food-wise), and then a rendezvous with the "Flying Instructor", followed by the lesser "cousin" of the "flying instructor" with the long long drive.. even the hot sun was no match.. and of course, my Deutsche Love in the limelight!

a pit stop for some more "flying instructions" along with some cold stuffs to beat the heat, we headed for again the most important part---food!

and M.A.D. it was for us! perfect on so many levels!

Pan-grilled fish for the hungry souls, after the long drive in the hot afternoon sun.
too full and too comfortable, we headed back to the cool comforts of another "red" love of mine.. plus, an empty house is always a perfect den for all the afternoon gossips!

come evening, and our love for roads overpowered everything else.. and this time it was the glitters and the colors.. and of course, food is never left behind.. and when on the streets, you have to have "street foods".. and what better than tangy-spicey "pani puri"?

returning home happy (also, stomach happy!) and some more food.. this time finding solace in the all time favourite "dal-chawal".

that was Saturday.. also, a lot of conversations on a lot of topics and a lot of views on a lot of "viewed" objects and subjects!

Sunday started sometime around noon, courtesy too much of "flying" the previous day.. and then who in their proper senses can say no to these beauties?
homemade indulgence for the perfect Sunday

The swelling happiness
and as we say in Bong, "robbar shokal gorom gorom motor-shuti'r kochuri"! and times like this, it really feels awesome to be a Bong! this, with tea and also, the remnants of my Cake. and if you think that we're nicely sorted for sometime till afternoon, well, stop.

because, afternoon was devoted to the Trad Gujju Affair! also, my first time to that place.. it was a wait of 15 mins, but it was worth it! too much of food! simply put. and delicious too! more simply put. by the end of which, it was that sweet ache of satiation and happiness!

Going the trad way for the Sunday afternoon. F-E-A-S-T!
and then the evening ride.. for (again) the flying instructions! cool breeze on the face, awesome company around you, the laughs.. and a pretty setting is the added bonus!

'grass'-y evening by the Waterside!
and calling it a day, with the setting sun!

it's when I end and You begin.

it was a perfect weekend for me in a long time. a much needed oxygen break.. emotionally, physically, mentally.

p.s. but you can't stop thinking, can you? i couldn't. it was always there. but at least, i had the option of not thinking about it then.

*Here's to more such awesome impromptu weekends! Cheers!*
